Safety Policy

Terms of Use: Acceptance of risk and confirmation that passengers are aware of the safety instructions, risk factors, and rules for participation.
By booking and participating in this RIB tour, I/we confirm:
- That all participants have read and understood the terms of service and the safety information below.
- That all passengers voluntarily participate in the RIB tour and are aware of the risk of physical injury involved in their participation.
- That all passengers have an independent responsibility to act in a manner that reduces the risk of injuries and dangerous situations.
- That all participants shall listen to and follow instructions given before and during the journey.
- That participants understand that the RIB tour involves risks, in the form of waves, high speeds, and driving in formation, among others.
- That no participants have major pre-existing back problems, osteoporosis, or other similar physical injuries.
- Persons with such conditions cannot participate in Stavanger RIB's regular tours. However, Stavanger RIB may consider arranging an individualized, customized journey for passengers who express a wish for this in advance.
- That no participants are pregnant beyond the first trimester.
- That if there are participants under 14 years of age, Stavanger RIB is made aware of this. Participants under 14 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Safety Information
- The age of a child passenger must not be less than 6 years.
- Each passenger has an independent responsibility to reduce risk during the tour.
- Passengers must ensure that their suit fits tightly around arms, legs, and waist.
- The life jacket is equipped with a whistle. The jacket can be manually activated by pulling a red cord on the right side.
- When the boat goes over high waves, passengers should lean their body's center of gravity towards their legs, not their rears.
- Passengers should hold on tightly to the handles in front of their seat with both hands.
- Passengers should speak up immediately if they become uncomfortable, scared, tired, or wish to slow down or stop.
- Passengers should speak up if other passengers seem uncomfortable, scared, tired, or need the boat to slow down or stop.
- If someone falls overboard, passengers should immediately notify the captain and keep an eye on the affected passenger.
- Passengers should not bend down in the boat or towards other passengers.
- Passengers should stay aware of their surroundings and act accordingly.
- Passengers should not be intoxicated during the tour.
- Passengers should never leave their seat while the boat is moving or, in the event of an emergency, before the captain has instructed to do so.
